My horse hates water! help!!!?

my 4 year old paint is about 16 hands and is a big boy but he hates water. he has a stream running throught the pasture, and we have two ponds that havge a stream throught them and we have to take them across them to get to the trailer. he will stop at the edge adn jump over he sdeos it everyday a few times to get back and froth i thought that if he had to go over it so many times hed get tired of jumping and try to go through it! thats what my QH did (hes fine with water and will go up to his tummy in it) and we ahve taken him across a few times and he still jumps it we had a little bridge for us and we were 4 feet away from it adn he still jumped to the side and landed on it and broke it (hes fine the bridge is broken some) and ive hosed him down a few times and he was fine with it. he will go in the barn that if filled with water (havent had time to get sand in there its been to wet to get it into it(we built the barn in the winter been a rainy spring)) ive tryed backing him in some water and he will tuck his butt and try to not get his feet wet. ive tryed leading him and he will just ram into me. hes a sweet horse and very nice. hes very good but with water.
